The competition unfolded as a colorful extravaganza, with performances carefully judged across 10 categories by a panel of 40 judges. Grande Rio samba school secured a respectable second place, while the third position went to Imperatriz, known for their luxe decorations of gold and white skulls. Among the night’s highlights, the vibrant feathers showcased by Paraíso do Tuiuti and the ghostly appearances of Vila Isabel added striking contrasts to the carnival’s kaleidoscopic aesthetic.

Mocidade enthralled the crowd with futuristic costumes inspired by their theme "Back To The Future - There Are No Limits Dreaming," while Portela samba school paid tribute to iconic Brazilian musician Milton Nascimento. Despite a visually impressive array of floats, Unidos de Padre Miguel faced the disappointment of being last, marking their exit from the top tier for the upcoming carnival season in 2026.
