UK rapper Yung Filly was charged with raping a fan in a hotel room after a performance in Perth.
The YouTube star, real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, faced allegations of sexual assault after a show in Hillarys, a coastal suburb of the city.
On Friday, a jury delivered a mixed verdict, finding him not guilty on three counts of sexual penetration without consent while refusing to decide on three other similar charges.
Barrientos was also cleared on a count of assault occasioning bodily harm and on a charge of strangulation, but was convicted of two counts of assault.
The 30‑year‑old remains on bail until 21 August, when the court will set a sentencing date. Authorities have not yet ruled whether to press the remaining charges, as prosecutors await further evidence.
The case brings renewed scrutiny to the boundaries of consent in entertainment settings and highlights the challenges of adjudicating such allegations in high‑profile forensic cases.
