HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (Echosphere News) — Offset, the former member of the influential hip-hop trio Migos, was shot Monday evening outside a Florida casino but is now reported to be in stable condition, according to a spokesperson.

The rapper, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, is receiving treatment at a local hospital, while the specifics of his injuries remain undisclosed. This incident comes over three years after the tragic shooting death of Offset’s cousin Takeoff, another Migos member.

The Seminole Police Department reported that one individual sustained injuries not deemed life-threatening at the valet area outside the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida, although they have not confirmed the identity of the victim.

Two individuals have been taken into custody by police, pending further investigation. Authorities have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat regarding this incident.

Offset, alongside Takeoff and Quavo, formed Migos, a rap group that reshaped the hip-hop landscape with their signature triplet flow, gaining fame from their 2013 track “Versace” and receiving Grammy nominations for their work. The trio solidified their status among rap legends, culminating in a Grammy nomination for their album “Culture” in 2018.

In his personal life, Offset was married to rapper Cardi B, who he wed secretly in 2017. The couple shares three children and experienced a high-profile divorce announcement in 2024.

Following Takeoff’s untimely demise, Quavo has taken steps to address gun violence, advocating for change through community initiatives, emphasizing the need for awareness and prevention in the wake of tragedy.

The hip-hop community continues to mourn the losses of stars like Takeoff, Nipsey Hussle, and others, all of whom succumbed to violence. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the pervasive issue of gun violence affecting artists and society.
