Germany has accused Russia of a cyber-attack on air traffic control and attempted electoral interference, summoning the Russian ambassador in response.

A foreign ministry spokesman stated that Russian military intelligence was behind a 'cyber-attack against German air traffic control in August 2024.'

Additionally, the spokesman alleged that Russia sought to influence and destabilise Germany's upcoming federal election in February this year.

Germany is coordinating with its European partners to implement counter-measures designed to hold Russia accountable for its actions.

As of now, there has been no immediate response from the Russian side regarding these serious accusations.
