The Victims

MukhammadAziz Umurzokov

At just 18 years old, the freshman from Brandermill, Virginia, had aspirations of studying medicine, motivated by personal health challenges he faced as a child. His sister, Samira, noted his dedication to supporting immigrant students adapting to life in America. During the shooting, Umurzokov was assisting a peer in studying for an upcoming exam.

Ella Cook

19-year-old sophomore Ella Cook, from Mountain Brook, Alabama, was known as a talented pianist with a passion for community service. A member of the college Republicans and an advocate for education, her vibrant spirit and commitment to uplifting others left a significant mark on her peers. A memorial service is being organized to honor her life.
