Andrew and Tristan Tate, British social‑media personalities, have been arrested in the United States following the UK’s announcement of additional criminal charges against them.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in London said Andrew Tate faces seven extra counts of rape as well as charges tied to alleged sex trafficking and child pornography. Tristan Tate is charged with one count of sexual assault, two additional rapes, and three counts of facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.

The alleged offences are said to have taken place between July 2010 and August 2017. Both brothers have denied all wrongdoing. The CPS stated that the new evidence, supplied by Bedfordshire Police, added a total of seven alleged victims to the case.

U.S. Marshals confirmed the brothers’ arrest and a U.S. Department of Justice spokesperson said the action was “pursuant to extradition proceedings.” The CPS will seek the brothers’ extradition back to Britain.

In May 2025, prosecutors listed 21 charges expected for Andrew (age 39) and Tristan (age 37) for crimes allegedly carried out between 2012 and 2016.
